Winckworth Sherwood—Arcangelo D’Apolito

Private wealth and tax offering boosted by dual qualified partner hire

Winckworth Sherwood has appointed Arcangelo D’Apolito as a private wealth and tax partner. A dual qualified English and Italian lawyer, D’Apolito joins from the UK practice of Italian law firm Macchi di Cellere Gangemi.

D’Apolito brings more than 20 years’ experience advising on international tax, trusts and wealth structuring, as well as supporting clients relocating to and from the UK. His client base includes business owners, investors, senior financial executives, trustees, wealth managers and family offices, with particular strength in UK-Italian tax matters.

On joining the firm, D’Apolito said Winckworth Sherwood’s private wealth, real estate and senior executives employment practices offer a ‘significant advantage’, adding that his experience will support the firm’s ‘international growth strategy’ and help build ‘a strong presence and enhanced brand recognition in the international private capital market’.

Richard Tinham, managing partner at Winckworth Sherwood, said D’Apolito brings ‘over 20 years of experience from top-tier firms in London and Milan’, describing his cross-border expertise as ‘a rarity’. He added that the firm is ‘excited to welcome him’ as it expands its UK and international tax offering in response to ‘significantly increased demands’ in the area.
