Social housing team announces partner appointment

Winckworth Sherwood has announced the appointment of Shazia Bashir as a partner in its social housing team. She joins the firm from TLT, where she was a partner in the housing and regeneration team.

Bashir brings extensive experience advising social housing providers and local authorities on housing and mixed-use developments, regeneration partnerships, funding arrangements and stock transfers. Her arrival further strengthens Winckworth Sherwood’s position in the social housing market.

Commenting on her appointment, Bashir said: ‘Winckworth Sherwood is recognised as a market leader with one of the UK’s largest and most experienced social housing teams’, adding that the firm’s ‘strong reputation with local authorities provides the ideal platform for the next stage of my career’.
