Withers promotes two US experts in London

Global firm Withers has announced the addition of two new partners to its private client and tax team in the London office. The promotions come as part of a wave of partner promotions across the firm’s US and London offices.

Joining the partnership in London are Stephen Nerland and Jaime McLemore, both of whom focus their practices on advising US nationals based in the UK. They are qualified to practise in Florida and New York respectively, and provide advice on tax and estate planning and US tax compliance. Stephen also offers expertise in trusts involving US trustees and beneficiaries, and Jaime provides experience advising on charitable giving.

In addition to its two new partners in London, Withers has also appointed five new partners in the New York office and one in Greenwich. Withers chairman Ivan Sacks commented: ‘I am delighted that the skills and hard work of these lawyers have been rewarded with these appointments.These talented new partners will help us to continue enhancing the services we offer our clients and growing our business around the world.’
