14 join the partnership in Europe, Asia & the US

Global firm Withers has announced the promotion of 14 partners across its locations worldwide, including five in the London office.

The CEO of Withers, Margaret Robertson, stated: ‘Our new partner appointments are an exceptionally large and varied group this year, and this is a strong reflection of the strong performances across our international business.  We are glad to promote talented new partners across our practices and to bring them into the firm's leadership across our European, US and Asia offices.’

Joining the partnership in London are:

  • Lara Crompton, a tax and succession planning specialist who focuses on trust structuring;
  • Xanthe Lok, who works with borrowers and lenders on banking and finance matters, including real estate finance;
  • Alessia Paoletto, a dual-qualified Italian lawyer and English solicitor who handles trust planning and inheritance disputes;
  • Alana Petraske, who advises donors and charities on tax efficiency, direct funding and social investment; and
  • Lesley Timms, a commercial disputes lawyer who focuses on contractual cases, particularly those with an Italian element.

In addition to the promotions in London, the firm has also welcomed new partners in San Francisco (Joy Chang), Connecticut (Joseph Morales), Singapore (Chua Yee Hoong and Leong Chuo Ming), Hong Kong (Billy Ko and Jocelyn Tsao) and Milan (Stefano Cignozzi, Matilde Rota and Sharon Whitehouse).
