Public international law expert joins the team

Global firm Withers has announced that public international law specialist Aniruddha Rajput will be joining as a consultant in the international arbitration practice in London.

Aniruddha is a member of the United Nations International Law Commission, and an advocate of the Supreme Court of India. He is highly experienced in public international law disputes and investor-state arbitration cases, with past roles including acting as part of the Law Commission of India’s study group into the Indian Model Bilateral Investment Treaty. He obtained his PhD in public international law from the National University of Singapore, and is the author of Protection of Foreign Investment in India and Investment Treaty Arbitration.

Withers’ head of public international law and co-head of international arbitration Hussein Haeri commented: ‘We are delighted that Aniruddha has joined Withers' public international law practice. The breadth and depth of his international law knowledge and experience are exceptional, as is his work at the leading edge of the formation and evolution of the international legal system.
