Partner appointment in national real estate team

Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has strengthened its national real estate sector offerings with the appointment of Adam Heather to its partnership.

Adam joins the firm from DWF, where he was the managing partner of its Newcastle office. His appointment brings to the firm nearly three decades of experience in the real estate sector across both private and public sectors.

He also has significant expertise across regeneration and large-scale brownfield development projects, having been involved with many significant projects in the region, including the recent gigafactory proposed for Blyth and the biomass power station constructed at Teesport in Middlesbrough.

During his time at DWF, Adam acted as client partner for some of the North East’s most prominent landowners and property companies, and he has also acted for a number of well-known national businesses and organisations.

He joins the firm after more than a decade at DWF, having also previously worked at Eversheds and Muckle.

Adam said: ‘I am incredibly excited to join WBD and a team whose expertise and knowledge of the sector is second to none. The team's strong service quality and legal excellence is something I am looking forward to building upon with my own experience to further enhance the service we deliver to our clients across the country.’

John Ralph, partner, and head of WBD's North East commercial real estate team and its UK real estate sector offering, said: ‘It is a pleasure to welcome Adam to WBD, as he will no doubt play a significant role in the continued sustained growth of our nationally recognised practice.

‘As a well-regarded and leading voice in the sector, Adam's proven track record and expertise in real estate and commitment to high-quality client service will be invaluable as we continue to bolster our team's service quality in these areas.’
