Firm promotes across the board

Midlands firm Wright Hassall has announced a wave of promotions, with five new names joining the partnership and a total of 17 lawyers moving upwards within the firm.

The firm has promoted partners across a wide range of areas. Bolstering the firm’s real estate practice are James Polo-Richards and Andrew Jones, both of whom specialise in property matters. Tracie Udall is an immigration specialist who is also joining the partnership, as is data protection expert Paula Tighe.  Chris Jones, who offers particular experience in banking and finance matters, is also made up to partner.

Wright Hassall has also added to its partnership with the lateral hiring of Judith Gershon, who joins from Gowling and will now be leading the firm’s banking and finance team. The latest appointments have brought the total number of partners of the firm to 49.

In addition to welcoming six new partners to its ranks, the firm has promoted 17 lawyers across a range of departments. Commenting on the promotions, senior partner Richard Lane said: ‘At Wright Hassall we want to grow, attract and retain the most talented people to the firm and we are delighted to regularly reward excellence. The firm prides itself on offering clear career paths to our staff and each of those who have been promoted this year have proven they are capable and worthy.’
