Partner joins commercial team in Leamington

Wright Hassall has appointed Christopher Gelber as a partner in its commercial team, reinforcing its expertise with his three decades of experience. Gelber, who has been with the firm on a locum basis since July 2024, specialises in transactional commercial law and compliance, advising clients across financial services, investment banking, sports, retail, and logistics. ‘I am delighted to become a permanent member of Wright Hassall’s Commercial team,’ he says.

Ann Critchell-Ward, head of commercial, welcomes his appointment, stating: ‘Chris aligns perfectly with the precise, practical, and expert advice we provide to our clients.’ His background includes leading the commercial legal team at a global investment bank and acting for businesses across multiple industries. ‘The team is nimble and client-focused, reflecting the firm’s forward-thinking approach,’ he says.

Looking ahead, Gelber highlights his enthusiasm for the firm’s ambitious growth. ‘It is invigorating and exciting to be a part of this. I look forward to supporting commercial clients and contributing to the firm’s overall success,’ he says.
