Newly-qualified lawyer joins property team

North West firm Birchall Blackburn Law has welcomed newly-qualified solicitor Hanna Smith to its property team in Preston.

Hanna joined the firm in July 2015 in a conveyancing support role in Manchester, before moving on to become a trainee solicitor in March 2016. With the completion her training contract, she will now work as part of the firm’s specialist property team, which provides niche expertise in a range of residential and commercial property matters.

Commenting on her new position, Hanna said: ‘I’m really excited about focusing on this specialist area of law and to be working with such a dynamic team. There are genuine chances for progression and I’ll be given a lot of responsibility in the role.’

Partner and property expert Jane Lockwood added: ‘Hanna has been a highly capable and reliable trainee. She has always been keen to expand her expertise and gain knowledge and experience is all different types of property transactions.

‘Hanna has now qualified with extensive knowledge and ability. Whilst she is capable of dealing with different types of property transactions, her main interest and specialism is commercial property, including pension trustee acquisitions, commercial leases, deed of easements, and land disposals.’
