Blake Morgan—four promotions

Four legal directors promoted to partner across UK offices

Blake Morgan has promoted four legal directors to partner as part of its continued growth strategy across its London, Southampton, Oxford and Cardiff offices. Michelle Davenport, Jane Biddlecombe, Joanna Corbett-Simmons and Owen Williams have all been promoted, strengthening the firm’s corporate, employment, litigation and construction capabilities.

Davenport, based in London, advises on corporate and commercial matters including mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements and joint ventures. In Southampton, Biddlecombe specialises in employment and immigration advisory work. Corbett-Simmons, in Cardiff, focuses on corporate disputes, professional negligence and intellectual property matters, while Williams, based in Oxford, advises on procurement strategies and disputes in the construction sector.

Helen Bunker, chair at Blake Morgan, said: ‘Many congratulations to Michelle, Jane, Joanna, and Owen on their promotion to partner.’ She added: ‘Each of them has demonstrated outstanding commitment to our clients, deep expertise in their fields, and a strong alignment with our values.’

Bunker said the promotions formed ‘a key part of our long-term growth strategy’ and added that by ‘investing in our people and strengthening our leadership’ the firm would continue to evolve and meet the changing needs of clients.
