Browne Jacobson—Ed Anderson

Browne Jacobson welcomes back PI specialist

Browne Jacobson LLP has rehired Ed Anderson as a partner in its financial and professional risk team. Ed specialises in professional indemnity (PI), and previously spent over nine years as a partner at Beale & Company Solicitors where he headed up the legal and financial lines group. Prior to joining Beale & Company, Ed had already spent almost seven years as a Browne Jacobson partner.

Ed will be based at the firm’s London office in Bevis Marks, which also saw the arrival of new insurance partners Colin Peck and Francis Mackie within the last year.

Commenting on his return to the firm, Ed said: ‘I am delighted to have the opportunity to return to Browne Jacobson and to a firm with such a strong and broad insurer focus. The firm has grown significantly since I was last here, but what hasn’t changed is its first class reputation in this area, and with the experience and expertise I bring, I hope to make a valuable contribution in helping to further develop this area of the firm’s business.’

Head of business and professional risk Derek Bambury added: ‘The firm is pushing on with its strategy for growth across its key sectors, including insurance and professional services and we are delighted to welcome Ed back to Browne Jacobson. He is a great addition to the team and we look forward to having him on board again.

‘Ed’s extensive knowledge of the insurance sector, particularly the London Market, combined with his expertise in acting on some of the most high-profile cases seen in the UK from Hillsborough and the miners’ litigation through to large scale commercial fraud spanning the commercial property, technology, charity and media & entertainment sectors will be a significant asset to our team.’
