Charles Russell Speechlys—Jason Freedman

Corporate restructuring & insolvency specialist joins the partnership

Charles Russell Speechlys has bolstered the corporate restructuring and insolvency team with the promotion of Jason Freedman to partner.

Previously a senior associate, Jason has been a member of the firm (formerly Speechly Bircham) since 2005. He is experienced in acting for insolvency practitioners on both contentious and non-contentious work, with a particular focus on fraud investigations and asset recovery actions. He also has a litigation funding practice, and develops bespoke funding agreements for the firm’s clients.

James Hyne, head of the corporate restructuring and insolvency group, said: ‘Jason’s promotion demonstrates the firm’s commitment to our contentious offering and the work the restructuring and insolvency team does for insolvency practitioners forms an integral part of this strategy.  His new role provides him with the opportunity to further develop the firm’s litigation funding services and will assist our team’s growth going forward.’

Jason added: ‘I am delighted to have been promoted to partner at the firm and I look forward to working with the rest of the team to build upon our already strong reputation within the market.’
