Firm announces next managing partner

Charles Russell Speechlys has announced the appointment of Simon Ridpath as its next managing partner.

Simon will begin his four-year term in May 2020, taking over from current managing partner James Carter. A member of the firm since 2007, Simon focuses his practice on restructuring and insolvency, advising primarily insolvency practitioners on corporate administrations, receiverships, liquidations and when appointed as trustees in bankruptcy. He currently chairs the firm’s client council.

Senior partner Christopher Page said: ‘Simon’s long-standing commitment to the firm both in leadership roles and as an experienced and highly regarded practitioner means he brings both experience and dynamism to the role which will stand the firm in good stead in the coming years. Along with the wider partnership, I am delighted to pledge my support and look forward to working with him as our new managing partner.’

Simon added: ‘I am honoured to have been elected to lead our great firm and build on our many collective successes. The next few years promise to be an exciting chapter in our growth and development. I look forward to ensuring we continue to build a firm that makes our people proud and delivers exceptional service for our clients.’
