Corker Binning

Two promotions bolster firm’s financial crime offering

Specialised corporate crime firm Corker Binning has announced two promotions within its senior ranks, with Claire Cross joining the partnership and Anna Rothwell moving to Of Counsel.

Claire previously spent over eight years as a senior lawyer in the criminal prosecution team at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). She has also worked at the Competition and Markets Authority, and the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office, and was formerly a criminal defence barrister.

Commenting on her arrival, Claire said: ‘I am delighted with my appointment as partner at Corker Binning, and look forward to this important new stage of my career here. Both Anna and I are honoured to be part of the Corker Binning team working with such a fine group of highly regarded practitioners.’

Anna Rothwell has been part of the firm since 2010, and currently holds the position of senior associate. She is highly experienced in handling criminal cases relating to fraud, extradition and financial cybercrime, and frequently assists with investigations carried out by the Serious Fraud Office.

Founding partner Peter Binning commented: ‘We are extremely pleased to announce both Claire and Anna’s promotions. These appointments strengthen our senior team with a combination of talent and wide experience from regulatory enforcement to hard edged criminal litigation.’
