DAC Beachcroft: Sherry Goodman-Smith

DAC Beachcroft continues to build its Global Insurance practice with new senior hire

International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce that leading insurance litigator, Sherry Goodman-Smith, a specialist in complex insurance and reinsurance policy coverage disputes, has joined its Global Insurance practice as a partner, based in London.

Sherry spent the previous eight years at Simmons & Simmons, most recently as Of Counsel. There she advised London market insurers and reinsurers on large-scale coverage issues, with a particular focus on product liability and recall, international casualty and complex property claims. She has also advised on coverage issues arising from more niche insurance policy wordings, including kidnap and ransom, intellectual property liability, and fine art claims.

Commenting on the appointment, Helen Faulkner, Global Head of Insurance at DAC Beachcroft, said, “Sherry is a highly talented insurance litigator whose extensive experience of coverage issues will be a huge asset, as we continue to build our already highly regarded international property casualty practice. She has a growing reputation for delivering exceptional results for clients on their complex and reputationally-sensitive claims and we are delighted to welcome her.”
