Deborah Burke—Practico

Senior costs lawyer joins consultancy

Commercial costs consultancy, Practico, today announces a senior hire with the appointment of Deborah Burke who joins as managing associate. Deborah is a dual-qualified solicitor and costs lawyer and is a prominent figure in the industry.  She is chair of the Law Society’s Civil Litigation Section Committee and is a member of the Society’s Civil Justice Section Committee.  At Practico, she will help to support and strengthen client relationships as the consultancy continues to grow.

Practico provides strategic and practical costs support in complex, high value commercial cases. Led by  Andy Ellis, Practico has been at the forefront of important developments in the costs industry and has been instructed in a wide range of landmark cases, particularly in the high value and group action arenas.

Commenting on Deborah’s appointment, Practico's managing director, Andy Ellis, said: “Deborah’s appointment makes complete sense. Deborah and I share a passion for the effective use of technology in costs management and want to make costs information more transparent to decision-makers.
