Firm appoints head of business development

City firm Druces LLP has welcomed Julian Washington as its head of business development.

Julian joins the firm after over eight years with Royal Bank of Canada, where he headed business development and client insight, and also previously spent more than a decade as a partner at Forsters. He said: ‘This move to Druces feels like the perfect next step for me. I am bringing my career full circle from those early days in legal practice, via my evolution into senior business development roles in the banking world and now bringing that skill-set back into the law. It is exciting to be embarking on this new chapter with Druces at a time of great opportunity and growth for the firm.’

Druces’ senior partner Roy Campbell commented: ‘Julian’s appointment is an important move for Druces and is set in the context of our plans for growth. The combination of Julian’s inside knowledge of the legal market and his wider business development acumen positions us well for the next phase of our development. It is very good to welcome Julian to the firm.’
