Ellisons has expanded its dispute resolution team with the appointment of Carla Jones as partner and head of commercial litigation. Based in the Chelmsford office, she will lead the practice and advise on a broad range of business disputes, including breach of contract, restrictive covenants, civil fraud and breach of directors’ duties, as well as shareholder issues, professional negligence and defamation.

Commercial litigation remains a key growth area for Ellisons, with clients increasingly seeking early, strategic guidance to manage risk and resolve matters efficiently. Carla’s appointment underscores the firm’s commitment to supporting businesses through complex disputes with practical, results-focused advice.

Commenting on her arrival, Carla said it was ‘an exciting time to be joining Ellisons’, adding that the firm has ‘an excellent reputation for high-quality advice and client service’. She noted she is looking forward to developing the commercial litigation team and ‘continuing to build strong relationships with our clients’.

Lee Pearce, partner and head of dispute resolution, welcomed the appointment, saying Carla’s experience and commercial insight ‘will add real strength to our dispute resolution offering’ and ensure the firm continues to secure the best possible outcomes for clients.
