Ellisons—Marion Knocker

Residential property lawyer promoted to partnership

Ellisons has promoted residential property lawyer Marion Knocker to the partnership. Based in the firm’s Colchester office, Knocker’s promotion reflects the firm’s focus on recognising senior lawyers with strong technical expertise, local market knowledge and a commitment to client care.

Knocker advises on all aspects of residential conveyancing, including freehold and leasehold transactions, remortgages and new build purchases. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, she has more than 20 years’ experience and works closely with estate agents across Colchester and the surrounding area.

Guy Longhurst, managing partner at Ellisons (pictured, right), said: ‘Marion puts clients front and centre in everything she does.’ He added that she had ‘had a positive impact on our residential property team’ since joining the firm 18 months ago and said the firm was ‘pleased to welcome her to the partnership’.

Commenting on her promotion, Knocker said: ‘What attracted me to Ellisons was its strong local reputation and the way clients are looked after.’ She added: ‘Being part of a firm that is genuinely connected to the local community matters to me, and becoming a partner gives me the opportunity to build on that while continuing to support clients as they move with confidence.’
