Private client & tax expert comes on board as legal director

Scottish firm Gillespie Macandrew has expanded the Glasgow team with the appointment of legal director Karen Wooton.

Karen is a private client and tax expert who joins the firm from Blackadders Solicitors, and who previously served as head of private client for Scotland at NewLaw Solicitors. In her new role at Gillespie Macandrew, she will lead the firm’s private client and tax arm in the west of Scotland.

Robert Graham-Campbell, CEO of Gillespie Macandrew, said: ‘Karen is an excellent addition to our team. Her experience in the private client market strengthens our practice across the entire business, and especially in Glasgow where we are committed to developing our services and building our client base.’

Karen added: ‘This is an exciting opportunity to increase Gillespie Macandrew’s presence in Glasgow and build on its excellent reputation. The private client and tax team is one of the strongest in Scotland and I’m looking forward to reinforcing this offering on the west coast.’
