International legal network increases its jurisdiction

Globalaw, a global network of more than 110 independent law firms operating in over 85 countries worldwide, has announced that it has increased its network reach into six new jurisdictions: Oman, the Philippines, Mauritius, Egypt, Vietnam and Cambodia.

The addition of the firms in Oman and Egypt give Globalaw access to a total of six firms in the Middle East and Northern Africa, while the firms joining the network in Vietnam and Cambodia create a total of 20 in the Asia-Pacific region.

Bryan Birkeland, chairman of Globalaw's membership & nominating committee (and partner at Dallas-based law firm Jackson Walker), comments: “The six new firms we have added to our network are of the highest quality and are a huge asset as we expand into important new jurisdictions in the Middle East and South East Asia. There are now few global territories where Globalaw does not have a presence; benefitting our clients through seamless and speedy referrals that meet the legal needs of international organisations.”

The new firms added to the network are: RMK - Rashid Mohamed El Murtada & Co. (Oman); Zambrano and Gruba Law Offices (Philippines); 5 St James Court (Mauritius); Maher Milad Iskander & Co. (Egypt); KCP Ltd (Cambodia); and Kelvin Chia Partnership (Vietnam).
