Hempsons and Eastwoods: 2020 vision

Two law firms to merge and create a new firm specialising in regulatory, disciplinary and criminal law

The nine-strong Eastwoods team will join the Hempsons London office on 27 January 2020, bringing experience in defending regulatory, disciplinary, criminal, clinical negligence and personal injury cases, as well as in employment claims, sports law, judicial review, appeals and representation at inquests.

Eastwoods’ senior partner Simon Eastwood said: ‘At Eastwoods we take great pride in the levels of service and care we give to our clients, and we are delighted to be joining with Hempsons to continue that ethos while providing an even stronger offering to our clients.’

Hempsons has a prominent clinical negligence and health and social care law reputation across the NHS, private and charitable sectors, as well as itself being involved in the defence of regulatory and professional discipline matters for medical and dental practitioners nationwide.

Hempsons’s senior partner and head of the regulatory team Chris Morris commented: ‘We are delighted to welcome Simon and the Eastwoods team. Our newly merged firm creates a new 26-strong Hempsons regulatory, crime and professional discipline team and will make Hempsons a force to be reckoned with, squarely at the forefront of the professional discipline field.’
