The High Court has launched its latest judicial assistants scheme. The scheme will give 12 people starting out as lawyers a ringside view of the trial process and decision-making from the perspective of the judge, often in high-value, complex and high-profile cases. Judicial assistants are assigned to a particular judge and carry out research, summarise documents and provide general support. Application forms are available on the www.judiciary.uk website, and should be emailed to HighCourtJAScheme@judiciary.uk by 5pm on 1 July 2019.
