Irwin Mitchell has recruited commercial litigation and arbitration partner David Vaughan into its London office (pictured) as its investment in expanding its corporate and institutions team continues.
David joins from Collyer Bristow. Before this he was head of litigation and office at Shakespeare Martineau, London. He has a strong focus on complex and high-value disputes with a multi-jurisdictional element.
David, who is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CiArb), advises on a wide variety of claims for banks, corporates, financial services providers, high-net worth individuals, and sovereign states.
He speaks four languages fluently and will also be supporting growth within Irwin Mitchell’s international team which is led by partner Bryan Bletso.

Irwin Mitchell has continued to invest heavily in its team focused on the corporate and institutions audience. Earlier this year it announced the arrival of banking partner Jeremy Ladyman who was soon followed by the arrival of two corporate tax partners, Jennie Newton and Kate Featherstone. Construction partner, Robert Tunningley, has also joined the firm recently.

It joined First Law International (FLI) in October 2018 as part of its international growth strategy and since being appointed it has become a key member of the network - highlighted by its appointment to FLI’s Advisory Board.
