Berrymans Lace Mawer LLP appoints three new business support directors

Berrymans Lace Mawer LLP has appointed three new national directors to lead its business support teams.  The appointments follow the addition of new IT director Abby Ewen in March 2013.

Lee Grunnell, Louise McCarthy-Teague and Mark Blakemore have assumed the roles of commercial and business development director, human resources and training director and national director of finance, respectively.

Lee joins the firm having been director of marketing and business development at DAC Beachcroft and Blake Lapthorn, where he was a board member.  He worked on the merger between Beachcroft and Davies Arnold Cooper and set up legacy Beachcroft's sector and client development approach.  Before moving into the law Lee worked at Ernst & Young.

Louise has joined the firm from recruitment and training business, Avanta Enterprise Ltd where she was human resources director.  Louise was the leader of the company's engagement strategy. Prior to that, she spent five years at Meridian Business Support Plc as group HR director.

Mark was previously executive director of UCG, the holding company for a group of international companies providing advisory services to assist e-commerce businesses to successfully expand their business on a global scale.  Mark joined UCG from top ten national accountants Baker Tilly, where he was an equity partner. Mark held senior management positions at Baker Tilly.

BLM national senior partner, Mike Brown says: “I am extremely pleased to be welcoming Lee, Louise and Mark to BLM. They will work closely with the firm’s management team to ensure we continue to invest in the right business opportunities, develop and secure existing and new business for the firm and support us as we remain a market leading firm in our chosen sectors.”
