SRA will consider how to lessen regulatory burden
The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is to carry out a “lessons learned” exercise after fewer than 4,000 of more than 10,000 firms submitted their diversity data on time. In his chief executive’s report for the SRA board meeting this week, Anthony Townsend says the exercise will consider how to lessen the regulatory burden. He warned a “proportionate” enforcement strategy for non-compliance would begin on 1 February.
