Patent and trade mark specialists Marks & Clerk has bolstered the Manchester team with the promotion of James Stott to partner.
A member of the firm for eight years, James previously worked as an electrical engineer, and gained a PhD in nanotechnology. He is a UK chartered patent attorney and a European patent attorney, specialising in electronics and nanotech.
In addition, patent attorney and software and artificial intelligence specialist Steven Pediani has been promoted to senior associate. The firm has also appointed Graeme Murray, a trade mark attorney focusing on the entertainment and the creative industries, and brought on board a new cohort of five intellectual property trainees covering patents and trade marks.
