IP expert joins as partner

City firm McCarthy Denning has bolstered the IP practice with the appointment of partner Jennifer Pierce.

Jennifer comes on board after almost 23 years with Charles Russell Speechlys, and brings with her extensive experience in IP, confidential information, competition law and IT issues. Her clients range from large listed companies to non-profit organisations and start-ups.

Warren Wooldridge, co-founder and CEO of McCarthy Denning, said: ‘It is a pleasure to welcome Jenny to McCarthy Denning as our IP team continues to develop in line with the broader strategy of the firm whilst increasing our international focus. Jenny has a wealth of experience in the areas of IP law where we are seeing strong client demand and significantly adds to the bench strength of the team across our corporate and commercial offerings.

‘McCarthy Denning is increasingly being recognised as a destination of choice for senior lawyers with strong client followings who are attracted to our remuneration model and the freedom to work in a way that suits them. We are excited about the opportunities ahead.’

Jennifer added: ‘I was drawn to McCarthy Denning as a leading next generation firm and because of the high calibre of the colleagues I will be working with in the IP team, as well as across the wider firm. I’m delighted to be joining and I look forward to growing my practice in a firm that has an entrepreneurial and agile working culture.’
