Drop in remuneration for lawyers
The average total remuneration for lawyers fell five per cent last year, from £146,500 in 2011 to £139,040 in 2012, according to a report by recruiters Laurence Simons. Of this, average salaries fell seven per cent, from £111,500 to £103,450, with bonuses remaining about a third of annual salary on average.
