Paula Levitan—Bryan Cave LLP

New partner for international firm

Bryan Cave LLP has announced that Paula Levitan, formerly head of the London retail group of Arnold & Porter, has joined Bryan Cave’s London office as partner in the technology, entrepreneurial and commercial client service group.

Paula joins Bryan Cave’s well-established retail and consumer products practice which boasts over 25 partners globally focusing on retail and branding delivering multidisciplinary legal help to retailers, brand owners, manufacturers and distributors as well as lenders and investors active in the retail and consumer products space.

Paula has more than two decades of experience managing the international legal affairs of public and private retail and consumer product companies (particularly in Europe, the US and Japan) and handling the legal aspects of investment activities in the sector. Her established career history within the retail industry means she is frequently asked by clients to advise as an “outside general counsel.” Her practice encompasses domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, franchising, commercial agreements, corporate governance,  intellectual property, real estate, brand protection and financing.

“I’m thrilled to have joined the Bryan Cave Retail Team and London office,” Paula says. “The firm’s depth and breadth of international experience in this industry provides clients with a comprehensive service offering and a strong platform with which to partner.”

“Paula’s arrival at Bryan Cave supports our strategy to grow corporate and transactional practices in London to complement our M&A capacity,” says Rodney Page, managing partner of the firm's London office. “Paula’s retail industry knowledge and experience will enhance the team’s transactional and commercial abilities and bring additional capacity to handle intellectual property work in London, opening up client opportunities across the firm.”
