Rocco Pirozollo—Harbour Litigation Funding

New director joins Harbour

Rocco Pirozollo, a prominent after the event (ATE) insurance underwriter, is joining Harbour Litigation Funding as a director.

Rocco was a commercial litigator before becoming a senior ATE underwriter in 2006. In that role he has insured a broad range of commercial disputes, in a range of jurisdictions, including disputes funded by litigation funders.

Rocco is also well known in the costs world and regularly speaks on cost issues, including funding and the civil justice reforms.  He has been involved with the Civil Justice Council for many years and was a member of the Working Party which drafted the Code of Conduct for litigation funders.

Rocco says: “Over the years, I have insured a number of the cases in which Harbour has successfully invested. Harbour is not just the leading funder in England and Wales, but also internationally. The changes to the litigation landscape make this an exciting time for Harbour and I am eager to contribute to their continued growth.”

Harbour’s head of litigation funding, Susan Dunn, says: “We are delighted that Rocco will be joining us. We have worked together for a number of years and he will bring the considerable experience he has gained in insuring some of the best known commercial disputes this jurisdiction has seen.”
