Midlands law firm adds legal heavyweight to its ranks

Bhavesh Amlani has made a move to expanding Midlands law firm Roythornes

Bhavesh, who was formerly a sector head at national firm Shoosmiths, has taken the role of heading up the Roythornes’ national property team. He will also sit on the Roythornes board. He has extensive experience of working with major plc clients in addition to a wide variety of property organisations and investors.

Of his appointment Bhavesh said: ‘Roythornes has a fantastic reputation in the real estate sector with reputable clients and I am looking forward to adding value across the whole business. It has a solid East Midlands base and a growing presence in Cambridgeshire. My move to Roythornes creates a perfect synergy between the East and West Midlands among both new and existing clients.’

Bhavesh’s colleagues Benjamin Smith and Emily Danson, real estate and development experts at Shoosmiths, join him as senior associates along with senior paralegal Sarah Ward.

Vember Mortlock, managing director of Roythornes, said: ‘We have known Bhavesh and his team for many years and their appointment is a perfect fit for Roythornes, which now has a presence in Birmingham. Roythornes has bold plans for the future and we see Bhavesh and his team being a major part of our success.’
