Law firm appoints injury practice area director

Consumer law firm Simpson Millar has recently appointed Kate Sweeney as its new Injury Practice Area Director.

Kate (pictured) brings more than 28 years’ experience of leadership within the Personal Injury field to the role, Kate will now lead the national law firm’s medical negligence, personal injury and catastrophic injury experts.

A formidable litigator, and a regional coordinator for the Motor Accident Solicitors Society, Kate was formerly Head of Personal Injury at Stephensons Solicitors where she has spent most of her career specialising in Claimant Personal Injury Work.

In her role as Injury Practice Area Director, she will be responsible for driving forward the firm’s commitment to ‘open up the law’ for people who have suffered an injury through no fault of their own; making it easier for people to get legal help and support when they need it. 

Commenting on her appointment and her decision to join Simpson Millar, Kate added: 'The firm’s existing Personal Injury Division already has a wonderful reputation for delivering excellent outcomes and a great service for its clients, and I am delighted to be working with such a dedicated team as we further enhance that offering in the coming months and years.'
