This month, 60 teams from 38 law and financial services firms competed at the annual Law Society RFC 7s & Netball Tournament. Birketts triumphed at the rugby, narrowly pipping Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer 17-15 in the final of the Cup. Freshfields’ netball team did one better than their rugby colleagues, however, beating Goodwin Procter 6-4 to win the Cup.
Over on the
netball courts, Lloyd’s of London took home the Plate, beating Pinsent Masons
in the final. Squire Patton Boggs beat the Law Society RFC to secure the Bowl.
Travers Smith received the Fair Play award.
The games were held at Richmond Athletic Association and sponsored by Brockwell Capital, a transactional risk underwriter at Lloyd’s.
