Stewarts has announced the arrival of partner David Savage, who joins the firm from SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank.
David spent more than two years as a senior sanctions officer with the bank, before which he worked for over six years in the financial crime team at Eversheds Sutherland. He focuses his practice on international sanctions, and in his role as partner with Stewarts, he will advise individuals, banks and corporations on their obligations with regard to possible sanctions exposure. His arrival brings the firm’s total partnership to 70.
Managing partner John Cahill commented: ‘We continue to build a leading financial crime team at Stewarts. Stewarts provides a strong foundation for such a practice. David’s arrival adds further strength and depth, and his expertise in sanctions will add significantly to our offering to clients. I am delighted that David has joined.’
