Taylor Wessing—Jamie Humphreys

Disputes and investigations team welcomes product liability partner hire

Taylor Wessing has appointed Jamie Humphreys as a partner in its disputes & investigations team in London, bolstering its product liability and safety offering. He joins from a leading US firm, where he built a strong reputation within a recognised product liability practice, advising across the full product lifecycle from regulatory compliance to litigation.

Humphreys’ arrival comes as the firm prepares to combine with Winston & Strawn’s UK-led business to create Winston Taylor, a new transatlantic law firm. The combined platform is set to focus on major litigation, complex investigations and cross-border regulatory matters, aligning with Humphreys’ international product liability and regulatory expertise.

He advises clients across sectors including technology, automotive and consumer products, and has been involved in major investigations by the Office for Product Safety & Standards. His experience spans multi-jurisdictional recalls and engagement with international regulators, reinforcing the firm’s strategy to build a ‘whole lifecycle products practice’ capable of handling complex, high-value mandates.

UK managing partner Shane Gleghorn said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Jamie… he brings exceptional expertise in product liability… and will add to our transatlantic litigation and investigations capability.’ Humphreys added: ‘I am incredibly excited to join… at such a pivotal moment… providing an outstanding foundation for building a genuinely differentiated, global products practice.’
