A Dutch court has found multinational, Trafigura, guilty of delivering hazardous waste to Amsterdam while concealing the true nature of the load

A Dutch court has found multinational, Trafigura, guilty of delivering hazardous waste to Amsterdam while concealing the true nature of the load, and of exporting it to the Ivory Coast.

More than 100,000 people sought medical attention and there were 15 reported deaths after the dumping of the toxic waste in the centre of the capital city, Abidjan, four years ago.

Trafigura has previously paid about £132m in separate settlements over the issue, without admitting liability.
