Wage disparity

News in brief

High flying male lawyers can expect to earn almost 60% more than their female counterparts, according to the results of a study of average salaries. The survey, conducted by the Route City Wealth Club of more than 300 of its database of high earners, found that the average salary for high earning male lawyers is £622,000, while women earn £255,000. The results of the survey echo findings published by the Law Society earlier this year which suggested that female solicitors earn a median salary that is £19,000 less then similarly placed men.
