Warren Collins—Pennington Manches

Award-winning lawyer joins PI team

Warren Collins, former head of Simpson Millar’s catastrophic injury team, has joined the Penningtons Manches LLP personal injury team.

With more than 20 years of handling catastrophic personal injury and fatal accident claims arising from UK and overseas accidents, Warren will be based in the London office, boosting the firm’s clinical negligence and personal injury practice to seven partners and 23 fee earners. He will work with current partners, Philippa Luscombe and Mark Lee, who head Penningtons Manches’ UK and international personal injury teams respectively.

Warren is involved in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation throughout the world and has conducted claims across Europe, Asia, the Far East, Australia, USA and the Caribbean. He is a member of and assessor for the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel, national co-ordinator of the spinal cord injury special interest group to the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), and a member of APIL’s panels of spinal cord injury and brain injury experts.

In November 2013, Warren received an award from UKABIF for inspiration in brain injury and was also named as "Claimant Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year 2013" at the Eclipse Proclaim Personal Injury Awards 2013.

Tim Palmer, head of the private individuals division and a partner in the clinical negligence and personal injury team, says: “Our personal injury team already has a reputation for dealing with high value, complex injury cases with a particular focus on brain injury and those with an international element and Warren’s addition to the team will further strengthen our profile, particularly in London. His dual experience of UK and international injury claims also fits well with our existing practice of catastrophic and fatal injury cases at home and abroad.”
