Firm appoints new partner to lead Midlands

National law firm Weightmans has appointed Andrew Brammer as partner and regulatory lead in the Midlands. Andrew is a specialist regulatory lawyer and joins the firm from Cartwright King, where he was head of regulatory business defence. 

Andrew’s practice focuses on protecting businesses and key decision makers during regulatory criminal investigations and prosecutions specialising in health and safety law. Throughout his career, Andrew has represented national and international organisations in many reputation-sensitive cases and has defended clients against regulatory bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency and Local Authority Trading Standards.

Commenting on his appointment Andrew said: ‘I am delighted to join Weightmans and I look forward to working with the national team to further strengthen our offering in the Midlands and beyond.’

Partner and head of regulatory Dewi Ap-Thomas said: ‘We are thrilled to welcome Andrew to lead our Midlands offering – his specialist knowledge and experience will add valuable further strength to our existing national team.'
