Global firm Withers has welcomed corporate tax partner Rachel Hawkins to the London office.
Rachel comes on board at Withers after almost seven years with O'Melveny & Myers, and previously spent nearly six years with Baker McKenzie. She advises on a wide range of corporate tax matters including corporate finance transactions, corporate and fund formations and restructurings, joint ventures, and management investment arrangements.
Jeremy Arnold, co-head of Withers' private client and tax division, said: ‘Rachel's hire is an important step for our London practice, reflecting the increased demand for corporate tax advice generated by the growth of our corporate work for clients.’
Rachel added: ‘I see a lot of very exciting possibilities in working with Withers' huge range of clients on their transactions. Areas such as funds, property, pharma and tech present novel and challenging issues, and Withers' strong international tax team provides fantastic support on cross-border matters. I very much look forward to collaborating with colleagues across the world.’
