Dual-qualified disputes lawyer promoted to partner

Litigation and arbitration firm Zaiwalla & Co has announced the promotion of Kartik Mittal to partner, bringing the firm’s partnership to a total of four.

Kartik has been a member of the firm since 2009. He is highly experienced in commercial litigation and arbitration, and has argued cases before the Supreme Court. He is dual-qualified to practise in India and in England and Wales, and has also previously worked in the United Arab Emirates.

Kartik commented: ‘The firm has been at the forefront of sanctions disputes and I look forward to continuing to build the firm’s expertise in the field, as well as contributing to its highly regarded litigation and arbitration practices.’

Founder and senior partner Sarosh Zaiwalla added: ‘We are delighted to be promoting Kartik to the partnership, our second organic promotion this year. Kartik has been with the firm for over ten years and during that time has positioned himself as one of the leading sanctions dispute practitioners.’
