AlphaBiolabs launches charity campaign to support vulnerable communities

For those living with poverty, illness or addiction issues, the impact of the pandemic and resulting lockdowns was deeply damaging. The charities which provide a vital lifeline to those in need are now facing the hurdles of increased demand and reduced funding, despite their services being more important than ever.

As a provider of DNA, drug and alcohol testing services, AlphaBiolabs has witnessed first-hand the struggles of substance abuse, poverty, violence and child protection issues in many of the homes visited by its sample collectors every day. Therefore, AlphaBiolabs has now announced the launch of its Giving Back charity campaign—for every legal testing instruction it receives, it will donate £5 to one of four charity partners.

The chosen charities are National Youth Advocacy Service; The National Association for Children of Alcoholics; Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol & Drugs; and TGP Cymru.

AlphaBiolabs director Rachel Davenport said: ‘As a DNA, drug and alcohol testing provider, we have direct contact with the communities that depend so deeply on these charities. We hope that our Giving Back campaign will help them to continue supporting vulnerable children and families throughout 2021.’
