Gibson Dunn—Robbie Sinclair

Partner joins labour and employment practice in London

Gibson Dunn has appointed Robbie Sinclair as a partner in its London office, joining the firm’s labour and employment practice group. He advises on contentious and strategic employment matters, with a particular focus on complex litigation, crisis management and investigations. The firm said his arrival will give it a stronger platform for employment litigation work in the UK and address clients’ strategic needs ‘in their boardrooms’.

Osma Hudda, co-chair of the London disputes group, highlighted growing market demand for specialist support in business protection, investigations and whistleblowing. Hudda said the firm is ‘executing a focused expansion’ of its litigation and investigations capability, adding that Sinclair’s practice ‘sits exactly at that intersection and squarely meets client demand’. The firm noted that its global labour and employment practice continues to be recognised by leading legal directories.

James Cox, partner in the London labour and employment practice group, said the team is ‘preeminent’, noting that Sinclair expands its senior bench for High Court litigation, team moves and investigations. He added that Sinclair ‘immediately enhances the seamless support’ provided to corporate, private equity and finance clients across both transactional and disputes matters.

Sinclair said Gibson Dunn’s global employment and disputes platform is ‘the right place to take my practice forward’. He emphasised that clients want consistent cross-jurisdictional advice and a team able to move ‘quickly from advisory to enforcement’, adding: ‘I’m excited to build that with colleagues in London, the US and internationally.’ The appointment follows a period of investment in the firm’s London disputes practice, including recent lateral hires and internal promotions.
