Double partner promotion

Shulmans LLP has announced a double partner promotion in Leeds, boosting its property and employment teams.

Richard Robinson (pictured, right) joined Shulmans from Ward Hadaway in February 2012, and will now sit within its property litigation team as a partner. He specialises in real estate matters, and offers particular expertise in related disputes, including development issues and landlord and tenant conflicts.

The second new partner, Tom Watkins (left), has been with the firm since April 2014, when he joined from Bond Dickinson. He focuses his practice on employment law, covering matters including workforce restructuring, disciplinary and discrimination issues, and cases before the Employment Tribunal. Tom also leads the firm’s education team.

Shulmans’ managing partner Tim Halstead (back) commented: ‘We are delighted to be welcoming Richard and Tom to the partnership and would like to congratulate them on their promotions, both of which are very well deserved. Their specialisms and industry expertise are a real asset to the firm and we are pleased to be further strengthening two of our teams as a result of these appointments.’
